Based in Medina, Ohio, Belding Insurance Group specializes in providing comprehensive employee benefits and commercial liability insurance to businesses. We prioritize personal touch in service, filling a gap in the market created by the industry's growing consolidation. Our commitment extends beyond finding solutions; we ensure support throughout the process for both employers and employees.

Our services are designed for businesses in the private sector with 1-500 employees, particularly in retail, healthcare, construction, and manufacturing industries and our focus is on cost containment strategies to lower healthcare costs. Competitors range from large national firms to regional ones. Our expertise lies in meeting the demand for lower healthcare costs and quality coverage through tailored strategies.

President

Joel Belding

Joel Belding grew up in Northeast Ohio, and has always had a passion to help people. As a former BIG 10 offensive lineman at Northwestern University, Joel learned the value of providing protection at an early age. After college, Joel started his insurance career and eventually became a partner at the agency. After a successful sale of his business in 2019, Joel started a sales and marketing company along with a private equity firm which he still has today. That said, Joel's passion for insurance has always been inside him, and he is now ready to continue to provide businesses with a best in class experience.

Kevin Basta

A proud Ohio State Buckeye, Kevin Basta earned his teaching degree from The Ohio State University before building a successful career as a back-office leader in the insurance industry. With extensive experience across multiple agencies, Kevin is set to make a significant impact on the BIG team and its clients, as he reunites with his lifelong friend, Joel Belding. Kevin is committed to delivering exceptional client support and looks forward to using his expertise to deliver exceptional solutions that benefit all BIG clients.

Kathy Wright

25 years of experience in the insurance industry, specializing in employee benefits and client support. Spent over 15 years at Aetna before transitioning to the broker side, bringing a deep understanding of group benefits administration. Expertise includes enrollments, terminations, COBRA assistance, and group implementation, ensuring a seamless client experience. Known for her client-first approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and top-tier client support.

Jack Belding

Currently pursuing his education at The Ohio State University, Jack is committed to driving growth and operational efficiency at Belding Insurance Group. Graduating in the top 5% of his high school class, he brings that same dedication to his university studies across multiple fields of business. At BIG, Jack focuses on strategic outreach and identifying local businesses that would perfectly benefit from partnering with our team.
